Boat Hire

THE FLEET

The club has a fleet of boats available for members to hire. They are intended for:: - members who do not yet have a boat of their own.; - members whose own boat is temporarily out of action.; - your own boat is a single-hander but you want to sail a double-hander or vice versa.

The boats are NOT to be used as a strong wind alternative when you think you will be overpowered in your own boat or the conditions are such that damage is likely.

The fleet currently comprises: 5 x Topper; 3 x Laser - Standard rig (One has a Radial rig available); 2 x Lark; 2 x RS Vison; 2 x RS Feva

AVAILABILITY

The boats are only available during normal club opening times i.e. Saturday afternoons, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays during the main season and Sundays while the Warm-up and Winter series are running. They can also be hired Wednesday evenings when the Wednesday Evening racing is taking place.

If you wish to hire a boat, see the Chief Duty Officer on the day and he/she will allocate the boat, explain the hire conditions and take the hire fee. Current rates are £5 per single hander and £10 per double hander.
